How Alive handles
Profile data.

Alive administers the Profile, invites the people who respond, collects the responses, and produces the report. The coach does not collect responses and has no access to the survey platform.

The leader and the leader's coach. Your organization does not receive it, even if it pays for the coaching. A leader may choose to share their own report with you by giving specific written permission, and is free to decline.

Alive does not tell the leader or the coach who has responded. Reports show group results, the manager's ratings are shown on their own, and written comments appear in the raters' own words. Anonymity cannot be guaranteed.

For development only. Profiles are not used for hiring, promotion, discipline, or pay decisions.

• Responses are collected and stored on the survey platform of Brilliant Assessments, which hosts the data in Canada.
• Alive works with the data from the United States. Reports and routine records are kept in Google Workspace, set to the US region.
• Brilliant staff in New Zealand, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom may access the data remotely when needed for support.
• Brilliant and Google Workspace are the providers that handle Profile data for Alive. The coach is a separate professional and is responsible for the coach's own records.

Alive's Google and Brilliant accounts use two-step verification. Only the people who administer Profiles at Alive can open raw responses. Alive's computers use full-disk encryption, and its passwords are kept in a password manager.

Raw identifiable responses are deleted or irreversibly de-identified 90 days after the report is delivered. Reports and routine Profile records are kept for up to 12 months. Only de-identified scores are kept longer, with no names, emails, or comments, and no link to individuals.

Alive does not send responses or reports to AI services or use them to train AI models.
