THE ALIVE LEADERSHIP ASSESSMENT
Bring something
deeply human
to your coaching.
Help your client rediscover the skills to lead through uncertainty
and create the conditions for others to thrive.
Alive brings human skills and human systems into one leadership
assessment. A distinctive way to begin the work and show what changed.
WHY ALIVE
When knowing
isn’t enough.
Your client may have built a career on knowing the answer.
Now the situation is unfamiliar, the answer isn’t clear, and their team is looking to them. In your conversations, you’re exploring what this moment asks of them.
Alive gives you a research-informed way into that work. Alongside knowledge and analysis, it brings attention to the judgment and relationships that help a leader move through uncertainty.
A fuller range of human intelligence, waiting to find expression.

from two perspectives.
Bring their human skills and their team’s working conditions
into the same conversation.

The skills your client expresses
Explore how your client sees their leadership alongside feedback from the people who work with them. Where do perspectives meet, and what might a difference open up?
02 / HUMAN SYSTEMS

The conditions their team experiences
See how direct reports experience the team’s working conditions alongside your client’s own view. Explore the practices and expectations your client can influence.

THE HUMAN SKILLS
A fuller range
of human intelligence.
Six human skills across three dimensions give you a shared language for exploring what your client’s work now calls for.
01Reasoning
Work with what is known. Draw on knowledge, examine evidence, and make sense of complex information.
- Know the Facts
- Analyze the Information
02Judgment
Move when the answer is not obvious. Explore what could be possible, then make a choice and own it.
- Explore the Possibilities
- Commit and Own
03Relationship
Meet the person in front of you. Understand others more fully and bring yourself honestly to the interaction.
- See Them Fully
- Show Up Authentically
THE HUMAN SYSTEM
Human skills need
room to come alive.
Your client may welcome new ideas while the team’s working day leaves little room to try them. The ten conditions help you explore that experience together, and identify what your client could change to help others use their human skills.

Form · Function
The physical environment, and how well the spaces, tools, and flexibility fit the work.
02Work DayHow work happens+

03Work CultureWhat work reinforces+
Honesty · Incentives · Modeling · Cultivation · Purpose
What people can say, what gets rewarded, what leaders demonstrate, and how people and purpose are developed in everyday work.
THE DEVELOPMENT JOURNEY
See where you begin.
Show what changed.
You bring the relationship, the questions, and an understanding of your client. Alive brings feedback you can explore together, with space to reflect, choose what matters, and return later to see what has moved.
- 01
Make the present visible
Explore self-ratings, others’ feedback, and the experiences behind the scores.
- 02
Choose what matters
Help your client choose a skill to strengthen and a condition to improve, then describe what they want others to experience differently.
- 03
Return to the evidence
Reassess after development to see where scores and perspectives moved and what still needs attention.

Something you can
bring with confidence.
When you bring an assessment into your practice, you put your name behind it. You want to understand its foundations, see what it adds, and feel confident that it will serve the person in front of you.
A framework you can stand behind
Ground your conversations in a clear framework of six human skills and ten working conditions, informed by research into how people think, learn, and respond to their environments.
A distinctive way to open the conversation
When a client asks what leadership needs in the AI era, bring a human perspective: the skills to navigate uncertainty and the conditions that help their team do the same.
Evidence of change
Establish a baseline, return to the same measures after development, and see where scores and perspectives moved. Make progress tangible without reducing the person or the work to a single number.
WHEN YOU EXPLAIN THE WORK
“We’ll establish a clear baseline, choose where to focus, and return to the same measures later to see what changed.”
A clear way to explain the journey to your client or an organizational sponsor. Individual feedback remains confidential and is shared only as agreed with your client.
AN ENDURING FOUNDATION
Ground your practice
in what stays human.
The tools will keep changing. Your client will still have to decide what matters, act without certainty, and meet another person with honesty and care.
AI can offer suggestions. It cannot live those moments for them, take responsibility for their choices, or be the person their team comes to trust.
That is enduring ground for your work. Alive roots your practice in human growth that has to be lived: exercising judgment, deepening relationships, and creating conditions for others to thrive.
A foundation you can keep growing from, as the world keeps changing.
PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATION
Experience it.
